I can’t believe I am blogging this week. We are in the throws of preparing for our sons wedding in three days.
I have to say that this has been a great experience overall. Our son, his fiance and her parents have all be beyond wonderful to work with over the past year and a half.
However, you don’t plan something that includes all of your family, in-laws and friends without some tense moments and emotional upheaval. But it has been easier to manage than I thought it would be.
Another great blessing of being fifty. I have learned to plan and organize what is in my control and let go of what I can’t.
So, we continue to put the finishing touches on the plans over the next few days and hours. We will then let go and allow the day to unfold as planned on Saturday. Everyone will have a wonderful day. Why wouldn’t they? It is by far one of the most joyous occasions in life!
