There you go. I am FIFTY. Tada!
It has been a fun few days celebrating this milestone birthday. Throughout it all I have felt such gratitude for the life I have lived and all that I have to look forward to.
I really have not had a moment of regret or sadness as I faced this reality. The journey has certainly not been perfect with some pretty significant bumps in the road. But, if I have learned anything it is that regret serves no purpose but to suck the joy out of the present moment. So why bother?
If someone had told my twenty-year-old self that this is what my life would be like when I turned fifty I would not have believed I could be so fortunate. If I could go back in time and speak with her I would advise her to slow down, pay attention and be present in every moment, with everyone. Life is too short to let it go by unconsciously.
So, I am celebrating what is right in my world this birthday and everyday.
I have so much to look forward to, so much left to do, to see, to feel. It has been said that “Aging is the best way to live a long life” so, bring it on!

Happy Birthday! Birthdays have never bothered me. Sometimes the number rattle me! How can it be that I'm 53? My mom bawled and took to her bed at 30, 40 and 50. She didn't live to be 60. But because of her dramatics, I decided as a child to celebrate all my birthdays, even the ones whose numbers shock me!
Thank you for coming by my blog - this is a bit late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
